As a part of a marketing class, teams chose an existing company and preformed market research on that company. Based on that research, we were to create a concept product, write a marketing plan for that product, and present the product to the class. This is a sample of the presentation:
Laina
Bayer Birth Control (a concept idea created by my Chatham marketing team)
Positioning: “For college-aged women that care about convenience, Laina birth control is a birth control multivitamin that comes in gummy form. Unlike other birth control pills, Laina is both medically and socially convenient “
Targeting: This product will use niche marketing to appeal to: Young women, college aged, trend setters, busy lifestyle, seeking convenience
Promoting: Samples and coupons are “pushed” towards the consumer through their doctors, Magazine ads, Social media, and campus representatives
Distribution Channel: selective distribution pharmacies, doctor’s offices, and mail-order.
Doctors give out samples, prescriptions, and the coupon. Pharmacies give out the coupons and dispense the medicine.
Partnering: Bayer’s Vitamin Production Department
